 THE BACKPACK PROJECT
ACTION Northwest is rolling out our newest program called Backpack Project. This program will provide backpacks to homeless youth. These backpacks will contain art supplies, art resources, clothing, food, toiletries, and a one stop shop book that outlines in detail resources regarding LGBT health, meth issues, jobs, housing, counseling and resources for all youth. These will be kept at participating social service agencies and youth must work with a program or volunteer in order to get one. We welcome donations. Suggested Donation: Backpack or an item to fill a backpack. Suggested item ideas: Canned food with pop tops, air horns for security, pre-paid phone card, toothbrush caps, dental floss, art supplies, pens...etc. Contact info@actionnw.net for details.
